God is Raising Up a Mighty Witness

In Genesis chapter 5 we see that Adam lived for 930 years.  He lived for more than nine centuries!  He saw nine generations of his children and grand children. All the way up to GREAT (nine great) grandchild.  That child was Lamech, the father of Noah. If Adam had lived for one more century he would have seen Noah born.  It is likely that Noah's father Lamech knew Adam.  According to the Bible, Lamech was 52 years old before Adam died.   That means that each generation up to the time of the flood had a FIRST hand account  of creation, the commandment of God, the fall of man and the resulting curse that came upon the ground.  Adam still being alive gave each of those generations a first hand record of what happened during creation, and after the fall.  And yet the bible records that by the time that Noah was an old man that the earth was so evil, violent and corrupt that Noah was the only righteous man left upon the face of the earth! 

God has sent precedent through out the Bible that the MORE you have witnessed the truth, and heard the truth, and know the truth, the greater judgment will be if you fail to heed to it. 

Luke:46"Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love respectful greetings in the market places, and chief seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets, 47who devour widows' houses, and for appearance's sake offer long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation."

And again in Hebrews
…28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY." And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."…

God is raising up a great witnesses to this generation.  Witnesses that are taking the miracle working power of God around the world.  Men who bring the light of the gospel into the darkness.  But as the Scriptures declare, men loved darkness more than light.   Noah was mocked, despised and hated by those who watched him build the boat.  As the world begins to mock, hate and despise the messengers of God,  we are moving fast toward the DAY OF THE LORD.   And the more you have heard the truth and rejected it, the greater will be the judgment.  God have mercy upon us in Jesus name, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.  amen.
